Hello everyone, good morning!
I’m currently trying to install the RIPE Atlas Anchor on a virtual machine, but I haven’t found the option to assign a VLAN to the network interface of the VM. Could please guide me on how to set a VLAN tag for the virtual NIC? Can’t find the option on wizard!
Thank you very much for your help and support!
Best regards,

Hello David,
a VM-based RIPE Atlas anchor should be connected to an “untagged” virtual interface, so an interface that does not forward, nor accept, frames with a 802.1q vlan tag.
On the VMware hypervisor you should assign one specific VLAN to the VM interface.
If I am understanding well your question, you would like to know how to configure a VLAN in the VMware ESXi and how to assign this VLAN to the virtual NIC of the RIPE Atlas anchor.
Maybe you can find useful info at this link:
VLAN Configuration
Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,

Thanks for your response! During the installation process, we discovered that. Now the Anchor was connected to an untagged port, and it’s working perfectly fine now.
Thanks a lot for your support!
