Stroopwafels are always tempting,
but is there any more info available elsewhere online?
Even just the previous events for the illustration of what to (not) expect?
How public is the event and should info go beyond RIPE members and community members?

Thank you @BECHA for sharing the event!
I have shared it on social media, do you have any hashtags for the event to include in the posts?

Regards!

Hi Gery!

I use every word as a hashtag on Mastodon: #Green #Tech hackathon

There are two more “fringe” events to attend!

And we are still accepting applications for

  • in person (Amsterdam, VolksHotel.nl)

  • in Local Hubs!

There will be stickers & T-shirts & sweets… oh my!

For people who might be interested to join in online for the first time - what communication channel/platform should we direct them and in which order? github? then matrix? (I love this forum, but fear it is not going to be used much in real-time)

We tried the forum, the “private” group – but – it’s not getting much use.

So now we moved to Matrix: everyone registered did/will get a link.

(Z., I know you did join, so this is a general reply)

Can you add me to that Private group? It would be nice to have it as an option for us who are online only :-p

Hi @BECHA , I couldn’t participate online due to scheduling issues.
Maybe the hackathon or one of the talks was recorded?
I really liked the video you recorded
and shared from a previous event

I saw the link in the note you shared Approaching the Green Tech Hackathon | RIPE Labs

Thanks, best regards!

Thank you for your interest, @geryescalier !

We have recorded the presentations, but I still have to review the video.

In the meantime, you might find the presentations from the “prequel” interesting (see the next post!)

This event not only fueled my passion but also opened doors and provided invaluable information and contacts that I can apply in my work at a Dutch ‘woningbouwcorporatie’. Amid the ongoing environmental challenges, connecting with such a diverse and passionate group at the hackathon was incredibly uplifting. These collaborations are essential for driving innovation and developing sustainable solutions that address the challenges we face today. I sincerely hope this is just the beginning of many more green tech hackathons to come. The momentum and enthusiasm demonstrated are exactly what we need to push forward towards a greener, more sustainable future. A big thank you to RIPE for organizing such a transformative event!
