Improving the navigation on ripe.net

We’re working on improving the navigation on www.ripe.net, following our redesign. We plan to make some changes to the navigation menus of the website on Monday, 1 July.

The main changes are:

  • “Events” will be added as a section to the top-level navigation of the menu
  • “Participate” will be renamed “Membership”
  • The Policy Development and Internet Governance pages will be found under “Community”

You can read about these changes and other improvements planned for the website in more detail in this RIPE Labs article. If you have any thoughts about content that should be easier to access, or other improvements, we’d be happy to hear from you.

Continuing on from my original post here. We’ve made some more changes to the website navigation on www.ripe.net

The main changes in this round are:

  • “Training” has been moved to the top-level navigation
  • “Publications” has been renamed “Docs” for conciseness
  • Technical documentation is available under “Docs”
  • Content under “Support” has been moved under “About”.
  • “News” and “Support” can be found under “About”
  • Content within the “Community” section has been grouped and organised

Is there something that you would like to see improved? Let us know.

These changes look like improvements. Thanks!

One thing that would be helpful is a RIPE document search engine near the top of the main Document Store web page.

At the moment, you need to know how the document you want has been categorised to find it. We can’t assume that potential readers will know what the categories mean.

Hi @leovegoda

The Web Services team is working on a number of improvements to the search functionality, and this seems like a great addition. I’ll discuss this with the team to see what we can do.

Thanks for this suggestion!
