A Decade of IPv6 and RPKI Deployment in Ireland

I’m presenting at the wonderful INEX Meeting in Dublin today, and in preparation my colleague Ilke Ilhan looked at the last 10 years of IPv6 and RPKI development in Ireland with a some nice interactive Roslingesque visualisations.

If you wonder why those countries are floating around with Ireland, that is because we grouped countries in the RIPE NCC service region according to their populations to compare similar sized countries with each other. Ireland is in the group of countries with a population of 4.5M-7.5M. The bubbles are coloured by the region they are in, with Ireland shining green! The sizes of the bubbles represent the number of LIRs there are in each country.
Overall, Ireland moved up both in terms of its IPv4 ROA coverage and the amount of ASNs with IPv6. It is also one of the very few countries with a significantly increased amount of IPv4 space in the last decade.
