Request for RIPE Atlas credits for CS bachelor thesis

Hi everyone,

I’m Jona Mars, a Computer Science bachelor’s student. For my thesis I’m looking at the digital sovereignty of European local governments. Essentially, whether traffic to municipal websites ever leaves its own country or the EU on the way to the server.

My plan is to traceroute from Atlas probes to the websites of ~90,000 European municipalities (one measurement each) and check which countries each path crosses. At roughly 30 credits per traceroute that comes to about 2.7 million credits in total.

If anyone is able to donate spare credits I’d hugely appreciate it.
